sister, autumn is the third publication in the series seasonal notes. It is an hommage to sisterhood in all its forms, linked with the atmosfere and contemplative nature of autumn. The two-sided poster folds into a book, but it can also be folded in other ways, revealing several compositions and hidden images.

about the project
At a certain point, we take each other’s place. At times I recognize my parents in myself, and my grandparents in them. Everything shifts and returns. The nature of our existence is cyclical, much like the seasons. I drew a parallel between the four seasons and the four family roles that currently exist in our household: a mother, a father, a brother, and a sister. For each combination, I created a publication that represents a photographic and textual association of both elements.
Each publication has its own design and form, but the same size of 17,5 x 25 cm. Each publication is limited to 100 copies. All texts in the publications are in Dutch, with an English translation provided.
Ordering period: each publication can be ordered online during the first ten days of the season. After that, they will be sent by post.
With seasonal notes, I want to give you a moment to hold on to the season. Something that will land in your letterbox four times over the coming year. Something that will remain on the table. Away from the screen.
